A one-pot synthesis of 2,5-disubstituted-1,3,4-thiadiazoles 7a7g and N-substituted dihy- drazides 8a8i was performed by the reaction of 4-methyl phenoxyacetyl chloride 4 with ammonium thiocyanate under ultrasonic irradiation and solid-liquid phase transfer catalysis, and subsequent irradiation in the presence of N-arylglycine hydrazides 2. The structures of the new compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, MS spectra and elemental analysis.
