Aqueous organometallic chemistry

Abstract

In this paper the recent developments in the new field of the organometallic chemistry in aqueous media using tin, zinc or bismuth are reviewed. The Barbier-type reactions in aqueous media have been discussed in more detail. Also other typical reactions in aqueous media, such as alkylations of immonium cations, conjugate additions to α ,βunsaturated carbonyl compounds and crossed aldol type condensation. The syntheses and reactions of water-soluble organometallic compounds are also described. The mechanisms of some reactions have been suggested.
