Synthesis and Photophysical Properties of a Novel Hyperbranched Fluorescence Polymer

A novel hyperbranched fluorecence polymer (HPTPA-OXD) containing triphenyamine and 1,3,4-oxadiazole was synthesized by the Wittig reaction. The structure of the polymer was characterized by IR, 1H NMR and GPC (gel permeation chromatography). The photophysical properties including UV-vis spectra, fluorescence spectra, and fluorescence lifetime were investigated. The maximum emission wavelengths were 473, 497, 507, 522 and 547 nm in toluene, CHCl3, THF, CH2Cl2 and DMF respectively, and the fluorecence lifetime were 1.24, 1.39 and 1.14 ns in THF, CH2Cl2 and DMF respectively. The electrochemical properties was explored by cyclic voltammetry, the HOMO and LUMO energy level of the hyperbranched fluorecence polymer HPTPA-OXD was -4.91 and -2.44 eV, respectively. The polymer HPTPA-OXD showed decomposition temperature 440 ℃ and exhibited good thermal stabilities.
