Recent Progress in the Study on Synthesis of Natural Cyclic Tetrapyrroles

The synthesis of natural cyclic tetrapyrroles whichinclude porphyrins, chlorins, bacteriochlorins, isobacteriochlorins and corrinsis presently one of the most attractive fields in organic synthesis. This reviewfocuses on the total synthetic methods of the above mentioned five classic substances and the recent progress in the related researches.
