A new lignanolide given a trivial name angudracanolide A (1), together with three known lignans 2~4 and three known phenylpropanoids 5~7, was isolated from the stems of Dracaena angustifolia. The complete structure of new compound was elucidated by analysis of spectroscopic data and quantum chemistry calculations. Compounds 1~4 showed obvious antioxidant activity with IC50 values of 15, 19, 25, 30 mmol/L, respectively by comparing the standard trolox with a IC50 value of 45 mmol/L.

Key words: Dracaena angustifolia, lignan, antioxidant activity
