About the Cover:A double defluorinative alkoxylation of gem-difluorinated cyclopropanes with alcohols for the synthesis of cyclopropanone ketals is reported by Che, Jiang, Yang, Hu and Xia on 2222. The reaction is elucidated to proceed via elimination and addition other than direct substitution based on the mechanistic studies. This new reaction model provides inspiration for the conversion of C―F bonds in small rings. -
About the Cover:Recent advances in cephalotane diterpenoid total synthesis are reviewed by Ding, Zhang, Zhang and Deng on page 2048. The discussion highlights key methodological breakthroughs while critically analyzing their application, and provides insightful perspectives on potential therapeutic applications of this intriguing class of com-pounds. -
About the Cover:The recent progress on transition-metal-catalyzed asym- metric carbonylative C—O, C—N, C—C and C—S cross-coupling reactions by using various alcohols, amines, boronic acids, and thiols as coupling partners under CO atmosphere or in the presence of CO surrogate is reported by Su, Yang, Yan, Jiang, Chen, Zheng and Liu on page 2007. -
About the Cover:Chiral phosphoric acids (CPA) have been widely ack- nowledged as versatile chiral organocatalysts since it was first discovered in 2004, finding application in catalyzing diverse asymmetric reactions. A comprehen- sive overview of recent advances in CPA-catalyzed asymmetric electrophilic amination reactions using di- fferent N-electrophilic reagents, including azo reagents, aryldiazonium salts, and imine derivatives, is provided by Tang and Yang on page 1785.
