A copper/Selectfluor co-catalyzed Ritter-type benzylic C—H amination has been developed. The method has a wide substrate scope, and it also possesses high regioselectivity and chemoselectivity. It avoids the use of strong oxidants and complex reaction systems, enabling the amination of benzylic C—H bonds in various substrates under simple and mild reaction conditions.
