Premicelle formation in SDS solns. was studied by using a pyrene fluorescence probe method. Both dynamic and static fluorescence quenching methods were used to measure premicelle aggregation nos. Pyrene fluorescence fine structure intensity ratios measured at different SDS concns. indicate that premicelle composition and structure changes as SDS concentration changes.
