Synthesis and characterization of Ni(II), Pd(II) and Pt(II)-complexes with cyclopentyl (phenyl) phosphines

Abstract

To study the effect of the cyclopentyl (R) group on the configuration of transition metal complexes, 15 complexes of MX2[RnPPh3-n]2 were synthesized (M = Ni, X = Cl, Br, I; M = Pd, Pt, X = Cl; n = 1-3). Their chem. composition and configuration were determine by elemental anal., far-IR, and UV spectra, resp.
