Studies on the modified electrode of conducting polymer film I. Polypyrrole film electrodes by electrochemical polymerization and their behaviours

Electroactive polypyrrole (I) film electrodes were prepared by electrochem. polymerisation in aqueous solns. The effects of monomer concentration, elec. potential, and potential scanning rate, no., and time on electropolymn. were studied, and voltammetric behavior of the electroactive film electrode in different electrolytes was discussed. The participation of O during electropolymn. of pyrrole in aqueous solution resulted in the formation of carbonyl and hydroxyl groups in the structure of I films was deduced form XPS measurement.
