Studies on the in situ Synthesis of W-SBA-15 and Its Catalytic Performance in the Oxidation of Cyclopentene

W-SBA-15 has been synthesized for the first time by using in situ method and characterized by XRD, BET, SEM, TEM, etc. The as- prepared novel W-SBA-15 shows excellent catalytic performance in the selective oxidation of cyclopentene to glutaraldehyde. The selectivity toward glutaraldehyde was as high as 84% and the yield reached 79 % , suggesting its promising potential in industry.
