A study on catalytic voltammetry with staircase potential ramp and its convolution and derivation

The theory was investigated systematically of catalytic voltammetry with staircase potential ramp at a stationary electrode. First, the theor. equations of catalytic current and its all-order derivative convolution and derivation currents were deduced. Second, a series of new methods to measure the rate constant of a chem. reaction, kf, were established basing on these equations. Third, four catalytic systems, Ti(IV)-KClO3, Ti(IV)-NH2OH, Yb(III)-KNO3 and Yb(III)-NaNO2 were used to test the theory, and the results showed the correctness of the theory; and last, the values of kf for these 4 experimental systems were determine and the results showed the advantages of the new methods.
