Ln(Cyt)2(NO3)3 (Ln = La, Ce, Gd; Cyt = cytosine) were prepared Ln chelates through N(3) and CO of Cyt and through 2 O atoms of 2 of the 3 NO3 groups. The complexes are 8-coordinate with C2h symmetry.
