A new glycoside, wallicoside. C61H98O26, m.p. 194-196`C, [α]D+22, was isolated from the crude glycoside mixture of cynanchum wallichii Wight. The structure of wallicoside was shown through enzymolysis and spectral analyses to be caudatin-3-o-β-D- glucopyranosyl-(1-4)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-4)-β-D- olendropyranosyl-(1-4)-β-D-cymaropyranosyl-(1-4)-β-D- crmaropyranoside (6).
