本文以甲苯为配体, 研究了η^6-甲苯钐有机配合物的合成及晶体结构, 揭示了配体芳烃与相应的稀土有机配合物的结构有密切关系, 并进一步揭示了苯环上取代甲基数对这类配合物结构的影响规律。

Sm(h6-CH3C8H5)(h2-AlCl4)3 was prepared by reacting activated AlCl3 and aluminum powder with SmCl3 in toluene. The x-ray structure was determine The center metal atom Sm(III) bonds to six carbon atoms in the toluene ring and six chlorine atoms. The average Sm-C distance and Sm-Cl distance are 2.91 ?and 2.84 ? resp. The deviation between the six Sm-C distances is much larger than that in Sm(h6-C6H6)(h2-AlCl4)3, this is due to the steric interaction between the Me group in the toluene ring and the equatorial chlorine atoms.
