A New Method for Synthesis of Naphtho[2,1-d]thiazole Derivatives

A new and efficient approach has been developed to synthesize 2-substituted acylamino naphtho[2,1-d]thiazole compounds through the reaction between 3-(2-naphthyl)-1-substituted acylthiourea and manganese(III) acetate under ambient air. This reaction has the advantage of simple operation, high atom economy, environmentally friendly, and cheap reagents.
