Study on bis-crown ethers I: Synthesis and properties of schiff base type bis-crown ethers

Abstract

Title compounds, e.g. I, were prepared by condensing dialdehydes with 4'-aminobenzo-15-crown-5. The complexing activity of these biscrown ethers with alkali metal cations was reported.
