Abstract

(m-AcS)(m-RS)Fe2(CO)6 (R = Me, Et, Pr, iso-Pr, tert-Bu, Ph, PhCH2, CH2:CHCH2, cyclohexyl) were prepared through nucleophilic substitution of (m-HS)(m-RS)Fe2(CO)6 with acid halides. The structures and conformers of all these complexes were confirmed by elemental anal., IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The reactivity of acid chlorides and the function of Et3N in the reaction are briefly discussed.
