Abstract

Small amts. of 2 mol/L HCl, 1 mol/L Na2CO3, H2O and solid K2CO3 do not affect the precision of the title kinetic measurement. However, air (20 Torr) in the dimerization reaction leads to a substantial loss of precision of the rate constant
