Abstract

Title compounds I [R = (Z)-CH2CH:CHCH2OAc, (E)-CH2CH:CHMe, CH2CH:CH2] were prepared in 70-98% yield by treating hydrocarbolinepropionates II with NaH in hexamethylphosphoramide.
