One-Pot Synthesis of 2-Amino-7-methyl-5-oxo-4-aryl-4H,5H-pyrano-[4,3-b]pyran-3-carbonitrile under Microwave Irradition

Abstract

A series of 2-amino-7-methyl-5-oxo-4-aryl-4H,5H-pyrano[4,3-b]pyran-3-carbonitrile were synthesized by one-pot reaction of aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile with 4-hydroxyl-6-methyl-2-pyranone under microwave irradiation. The structures of the products were confirmed by IR, ¹H NMR, elemental analysis and X-ray analysis for 4g. A possible mechanism for this reaction was proposed.
