Study of biomimetic oxidation catalyzed by the model compound of cytochrome P-450:III. The mechanistic studies of the oxygenation of cyclohexane catalyzed by TPPFe(III)Cl or/and TPPMn (III) Cl

The reaction systems for oxygenation of cyclohexane with ArIO catalyzed by TPPFe(III)Cl or/and TPPMn(III)Cl were studied by UV-vis. and ESR spectroscopies.. From the spectroscopic data, the intermediate in the TPPFe(III)Cl-catalyzed system may be TPPFe(V)(O)Cl or TPPFe(IV)(Cl)O? and the intermediate in the TPPMn(III)Cl-catalyzed system may be [ArI(Cl)OMn(IV)TPP]2O. Based on this result, 2 different possible mechanisms for these 2 catalytic oxygenation reactions of cyclohexane were proposed.
