Studies on the new aza-macrocycles 1: Synthesis and complexation of substituted tetrapyrazolic macrocycles |

Abstract It is well known that polypyrazolic macrocycles can complex with both alkali and transition metal ions. In this paper, five new functional lateral chain containing tetrapyrazolic macrocycle ligands were synthesized and their liquid membrane transport properties for Li and Na picrate and the complexation abilities with Ru (Ⅱ) were also studied. Each of the ligands can form stable octahedral complex with Ru (Ⅱ), in which one molecule of DMSO and one molecule of H2O act as axial ligands. These ligands prossess good properties for transport of Li^+ or Na^+ through dichloromethane.
