Abstract

Synthesis of chiral metal complexes with Schiffbase derived from amino acids and their structures were summarized. Meanwhile asymmetric reactions of the chiral complexes were discussed, such as, alkylation, condensation with aldehydes, Micheal addition to activated olefins. These reactions provide a new method for resolving recemic amino acids and synthesizing non-protein amino acids.
