Electrocatalysis of biomolecules at modified electrodes.Ⅰ.investigation on electrochemical behaviour of new mediator cresyl east violet

The polarog. and voltammetric behaviors of cresyl fast violet were investigated by various electroanal. methods, e.g. sampled d.c. polarog., pulse polarog., a.c. polarog. and voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry. In the pH range 3 ~ 11 the cresyl fast violet behaves as two electrons reversible redox process involving two protons. Reactant and product can strongly adsorb at electrode surface. Under certain conditions cresyl fast violet can form double-layer adsorption at mercury electrode surface.
