本文合成了4碘化1-甲基-2,3-二芳基咪唑啉作为甲酸氧化态的四氢叶酸辅酶模型化合物,它们可以向亲核试剂转移苯基取代的一碳单元。

Four 1,2,3-trisubstituted imidazolidinium iodides I (R = H, Me, Cl, NO2) were synthesized. The electronic effects of the substituent aryl groups at N(3) on the electrophilic activity of the transferable carbon was investigated by means of 13C NMR, and the difference of 1-methyl-2-phenyl-3-(p-nitrophenyl)imidazolidinium iodide with the others was also discussed. Reaction of I with R1MgX (R1 = alkyl, cyclohexyl, Ph; X = halo) gave RCOR1.
