Abstract

The title reactions gave substituted aromatic compounds in a (3 C + 3 C) condensation reaction with regioselectivity. E.g., self-condensation of enamino ketone I in the presence of CF3CO2H gave 23.1% benzoate II. The mechanism of the reactions is discussed.
