Abstract

The title odorous compounds I (R = Me, Et, Pr, Bu, pentyl, hexyl, heptyl, allyl, Ph) were prepared in 60-95% yield by refluxing bicycloheptenecarboxylate II with RMgX (X = halide) in Et2O.
