Studies of asymmetric cross-coupling reaction catalyzed by chiral phosphine-transition metal complexes

Ferrocenylphosphine-PdCl~2 and 1, 2-bis(diphenylphosphine)-ethane- NiCl~2 complexes catalyzed Grignard cross-coupling of aryl bromide (1a- c) and sec-butylmagnesium bromide (2) with high yield and low to medium optical yield. The influences of reaction temperature and different pare-substituents on aryl bromide (1a-c) were studied, the structure of isomers was established by GC-MS analysis.
