A study of interpolation of adsorption isotherms

Abstract

It is difficult to describe the adsorption isotherms accurately in the calculation of specific surface area and porte size distribution of solids. In this paper five kinds of interpolation methods and fitting results were compared with the experimental data, and it was found that the cubic spline interpolation function was the most suitable method for description of the adsorption isotherms. A computer program in ALGOL language was developed. The flow-chart of the program was given in this paper.
