Abstract

A method for the synthesis of methylammonium chlorochromate is described. This reagent exhibits excellent selectivity, e.g. it can successfully oxidize a,b-unsatd. primary alcs. into corresponding a,b-unstd. aldehydes, while cannot oxidized the saturated alcs. under similar condition.
