Synthesis of Three Methylbenzaldehydes from Dimethylbenzene by Indirect Electrooxidation under Ultrasound Irradiation

o-, m-, p -Methylbenzaldehydes were syntliesized from dimethylbenzene with Mn(II)/ Mn(III) as the oxidant by indirect electrooxidation. Ultrasound was used in the process of electrolysis. The experimental results indicated that the current efficiency of electrolysis and the yields of o-, m- , p -methylbenzaldehydes were promoted about 10% under ultrasound irradiation. The conditions of ultrasound electrooxidation were optimized.
