Progress in Ruthenium-Catalyzed [2+2] Cycloaddition Reactions between Bicyclic Alkenes and Alkynes

The recent progress in ruthenium-catalyzed [2+2] cycloaddition reactions between bicyclic alkenes and alkynes is reviewed in this paper. The main focuses are the influences on this kind of reaction, eg. the structure of reactants, ratio of reactants, solvent, temperature, etc.
