Synthesis and Characterization of Potential Photodynamic Treatment with Porphyrin Derivatives Substituted with 2-Nitroimidazole

Starting from pyrrole and 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde, four novel porphyrin derivatives substituted with 2-nitroimidazole were prepared. The structures of all the synthesized compounds were identified by UV-Vis, FT-IR, 1H NMR and HRMS techniques.
