Discussion on the decrease in catalytic activity of bvu4N[Mo(CO)5Cl]-RAlCl~2 system inolefin metathesis

Factors affecting the catalytic activity and kinetic behavior of Bu4N[Mo(CO)5X]-RnAlCl3-n (X = Cl, Br; R = Me, Et; n = 0-3) systems in 1-hexene metathesis were discussed. The decrease in activity was attributed to the decomposition of the metal carbene active species formed. The effect of the order of introducing the olefin on the catalytic activity was studied.
