Synthesis and Biological Activity of N-[5-(1-o(p)-Chlorophenoxy- ethyl)-1,3,4-thiodiazol-2-yl]-N'-aroyl Thioureas

In order to find high active pesticide containing heterocycle, twenty-six novel aroyl thioureas have been synthesized by the reaction of 2-amino-5-[1-o(p)-chlorophenoxyethyl]-1,3,4-thiodiazole with aroyl isothiocyanates. Their structures were confirmed by 1H NMR, IR spectra and elemental analysis. The preliminary biological activity tests showed that some title compounds have good activities as plant growth regulator and 3c, 3d, 3e, 4b and 4c have excellent activity of auxin.
