Mass spectrometry plays important roles in bioorganic chemistry for its fast determination, high sensitivity and direct analysis of mixtrure. In this paper, some applications of mass spectrometry in bioorganic phosphorus chemistry are discussed including mass spectral fragmentation pathways of N-phosphoamino acids, peptides, pentacoordinatedphosphorus compounds, amino acid phosphoramidates of nucleosides, the selfassembly products and the mechanism of amino acids into peptides mediated by organic phosphorus reagents.
