This paper reviews some application of indium reagents in organic synthesis, including In-mediated promoted Barbier-type reaction, In- Reformatsky reaction, cyclization, reactions catalyzed by indium trichlride and In-mediated reactions in aquous media. These reactions can take place under mild conditions, in high yields, and with good chemo- and stereo-selectivity. Application of indium reagents has emerged as a useful tool in organic synthesis in recent years.
