封面介绍Direct carbonylation of C—H bonds provides a strai-ghtforward method for the introduction of carbonyl groups into organic molecules. Under transition-metal catalysis, including palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, cobalt and copper, C(sp2)—H and C(sp3)—H bonds can react with carbon monoxide to yield carbonyl-containing compounds, such as acid anhydrides, amides and esters. The research progress of transition-metal-catalyzed re-actions of C—H bonds with carbon monoxide over the past decades has been reviewed by Wu, Cheng and Zhang on page 2155.
