Study on the composition of the essential oil from cistanche salsa G

The chem. composition of the essential oil from C. salsa was analyzed by GC-MS technique. Thirty-eight components, which constitute about 70% the essential oil, were identified: Et acetate, 3-Me butan-1-ol, 2-Et cyclobutanol, 1,3-dioxolane, furfural, furfuryl alcohol, n-heptanal, benzaldehyde, 2,2,4,6,6-pentamethylheptane, 2-Et hexan-1-ol, benzyl alcohol, phenylacetaldehyde, benzoyl chloride, nonanal, phenylethanol, Et benzoate, 2,3-dihydrobenzofuran, benzothiazole, isoquinoline, 2-methoxy-1,3,5-trimethyl benzene, N-Ph acetamide, 4-methyl-2,6-di-tert-Bu phenol, di-Bu phthalate, 2,4-di-Ph pyrrole, diisooctyl phthalate and 13 normal alkanes.
