Synthesis and characterization of cyclopentadienyl titanium (Ⅳ) , zirconium(Ⅳ) dithiocabamato complexes

Thirty two new dithiocarbamate complexes of six, seven coordinated titanium (Ⅳ) [or zirconium(Ⅳ) ] with the structures of (RCp)M(S~2CNHR^1)~nCl~3~-~n, (RCp)~2M(S~2CNHR^1)~n Cl~2~-~n [R=H,Me; M=Ti, Zr; R^1=PTDTC,n=1,2,3] and (RCp)M (S~2CR^2)~n Cl~3~-~n, (RCp)~2M(S~2CR^2)~n Cl~2~-~n [R=H, Me; M=Ti, Zr; R~2=PFPDTC, n=1,2,3] were prepared by the reaction of dichlorobis (cyclopentadienyl ) titanium (or zirconium); trichlorocyclopentadienyl titanium or trichloromethylcyclopentadienyl titanium with potassium 3-phenyl-thiazolyl dithiocarba mate or sodium 3-phenyl-5-(2-furanyl)-pyrazoline dithiocarbamate. All complexis were characterized by elemntal analysis, ^1H NMR, IR and UV spectra, which showed that dithiocarbamic acid coordinates as a bidentate ligand with metal.
