Micellar system can be used as a simple analogue to mimic enzyme. Chiral micelle has asymmetric induction to some reactions. In micelles formed from (1R,2S)-(-)-N-dodecyl-N-methylephedrine bromide and (1R,2S)-(-)-N-hexadecyl-N-methylepedrine bromide, via benzion condensation of arylaldehyde, optically active products were obtained.
