An Improved Procedure for Preparing Chiral Aminoalcohols

Reduction of chiral amino acids with NaBH4-TiCl4 in THF gave the corresponding aminoalcohols. The method has some advantages, such as simple operation, easy scaling up and inexpensive reagents.
