Synthesis of 5-Benzyloxyimino-5-deoxyavermectin B1a Derivatives

Abstract

Five 5-benzyloxyimino-5-deoxyavermectin B1a derivatives 4a～4e were synthesized from aver- mectin B1a by selective oxidization of the hydroxyl group at C-5, followed by the reaction with O-substi- tuted hydroxylamines. Their structures were confirmed by ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR, IR and MS spectra. Insecticidal activities of compounds 4a～4e were tested against Helicoverpa armigera and Spodoptera exigua.
