Abstract

The new development of enzymatic reactions in non-aqueous media for organic synthesis is reviewed. The enzyme-catalyzed kinetic resolution and enantioselective synthesis in non-aqueous media, the influence of lyoprotectants and chemical modification on enzyme properties, the factors affecting the activity and stability of immobilized enzymes are introduced and discussed.
