Progress on Organic Synthesis Using Hydrogen Peroxide as a Green Chemical Reagent

The developments of organic synthesis using hydrogen peroxide as a green chemical reagent are reviewed in synthesizing various organic compounds, such as sulfoxides, sulfones, epoxy compounds, alcohols, phenols, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, esters and halides in recent ten years. The applications of hydrogen peroxide combining with some new classes of green reaction media including ionic liquids, fluorous phase solvents, and supercritical fluids in organic synthesis have also been described. We hope that more green technologies using hydrogen peroxide in place of unsustainable ones could be worked out and applied.
