  In the past decade, triaryl carbenium has garnered sig-nificant interest due to its versatile applications as a catalyst, pre-catalyst, co-catalyst, and additive. Addi-tionally, it has played a pivotal role as an essential in-termediate in the synthesis of tetraarylmethane com-pounds. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the recent developments in the utilization of triaryl carbenium, as discussed by Li, He, Zhang, Jia, and Loh on page 421.

  A HBpin promoted dehydration of primary amides to access nitrile compounds has been demonstrated with good to excellent yields by Li, Dong and Li on page 638. The catalytic system exhibits good compatibility with various functional groups. This method is easy to operate, and the yield of the target product in the gram scale amplification experiment is 96%.

  The image artistically summarizes the recent advances of kinetic resolutions enabled by N-heterocyclic carbene catalysis, as discussed by Yang and Fang on page 448. The background is in the ocean and at the central position, and the biggest bubble represents N-heterocyclic carbene catalysis, which produces six key intermediates that surround it. Then the six intermediates generate a series of new chiral molecules (green bubbles) through three types of kinetic resolutions.
