Study on Surface Area of Zirconia-based HPLC Supports

采用层层纳米自组装方法在硅胶微米球模表面包覆多层纳米氧化锆颗粒, 制备了新型锆基高效液相色谱填 料——核-壳型ZrO2/SiO2复合物, 与其它方法制备的ZrO2填料相比, 新的柱填料大大增加了载体的比表面积.

Core-shell ZrO2/SiO2 composite was prepared for HPLC support material with layer-by-layer self-assembly (LbL SA) technique. The composite with specific surface area of 172.5 m2/g consists of silica microsphere templates as core and zirconia nanometer particle layers as shell. The novel ZrO2/SiO2 composite can be a promising HPLC support compared with ZrO2 sphere because of its higher surface area.
