Study on the formation of 2:2 inclusion complexes between α-bromonaphthalene and β-cyclodextrin in aqueous solution by fluorimetry

Abstract

The interaction between α-bromonaphthalene and β-cyclodextrin in aqueous solution have been studied by fluorimetry. The experimental results show that there is a new kind of inclusion complexes-2:2 ovrelapping inclusion complex which consisted of two 1:1 inclusion complexes has been formed, the direct evidence is the change of the fluorescence spectra.
