Organic small molecule-Metal co catalysis

The two hands represent the chiral phosphoric acid catalyst, and the three colored balls represent the three protons involving in the formation of the new stereogenic center. It implies that the chiral spiro phosphoric acids can precisely control the enantioselectivity of proton transfer. The optimal transition state of proton transfer in the enantioselective-determining step is also shown in the center of the figure to make the meaning clear. [Zhu, Shoufei et al. on page 883-889.]
